Alacrity Health offers a variety of day-long excursions.
These trips vary in physical activity and location. From hikes in the bush to a day out at the footy, we have it all. If you want to see something else, please suggest it to us below!
Please note that all entry-related costs to activities are covered by our trip. We sometimes provide sandwiches and light refreshments. Any other items, such as food, drinks, souvenirs, are not covered under the trip.
We also strive to offer you amazing experiences and adventures, however we live in very uncertain times right now with the COVID-19 pandemic. In some cases we will have to reschedule or, worst case scenario, cancel events. We will keep clear communication with you the whole time. We also help to prevent cancellations by being COVID safe on our trip. Your health is our top priority, and we won't take risks with that.

Day trip to the Dandenong Ranges

Head out of the city for a day with a trip to the amazing Dandenong Ranges. Enjoy the luscious scents and colours at the botanical gardens. Get your blood pumping with the 1000 steps. Hit one of the many local tracks, or drive through the many beautiful villages with award-winning food. With so many activities to get involved with and so much nature to enjoy, we like to shake it up on each trip and allow our participants to try different experiences. The plan for each day is outlined when a specific date is announced. See below for current trips planned.
Dandenong Botanic Gardens & Mountain Views
Trip duration: 8 hours (pick up locations will be agreed depending on locations of participants)
Physical activity: low-medium, depending on group
Itinerary:
Depending on pick up locations, arrive at a bakery for coffee/baked goods, for a 10am arrival at the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens. Allowing 2.5 hours for the botanic gardens, we will then drive into town to explore the local villages and scenery. Following this, if we have time, we will explore the amazing Burrinja Art Gallery. Towards the end of our trip, we will drive up to the Mount Dandenong observatory, where we can enjoy spectacular views of Melbourne. Sandwiches and light snacks will be provided, along with main meals (e.g. brunch and lunch), however you will be able to purchase food along the trip.

Dandenong 1000 steps

Itinerary:
This trip will start at the 1000 steps, where we will make the hike up to the top. We will allow 2.5 hours for a trip up the steps and back down the hill. From here we will drive to the Kalorama picnic ground, where sandwiches and light snacks will be provided. Following this, we will drive through the local villages to explore and eat, before finishing up at the Mt Dandenong Observatory, where we can enjoy spectacular views of Melbourne.

Day in the Yarra Valley

The Yarra Valley is one of the most beautiful, serene and cultured spots in all of Victoria. Whether you are enjoying an warm coffee in the open fields that surround the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, walking through the halls of local art in the TarraWarra art museum, or forgetting your worries amongst the towering redwood trees in marvel of nature, you can find something you love in the fresh air of the Yarra Valley region.
Yarra Valley - Arts, museums & Gardens

Itinerary:
We arrive at the start of the Yarra Valley at 10am for a morning walk by the Lilydale lake, before heading for the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum. Following this, we will proceed to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie to explore the amazing facility and sit back in the fields for lunch. Following this, we will head over to the breathtaking TarraWarra museum to take in the stunning surrounds outside and the artwork inside.

Healesville Sanctuary

We arrive in Healesville for a coffee/breakfast before continuing to the Healesville Sanctuary. We take the opportunity to explore the local flora & fauna in the local nature reserves, including Maroondah Dam and other scenic spots high in the beautiful valley.

Explore the stunning grounds of Werribee Park Mansion and Victoria State Rose Garden, and join us on a safari at Werribee Open Range Zoo. The Werribee Park Precinct boasts multiple world-class attractions all within easy access of each other, surrounded by Stunning backdrop of the best of what Victoria has for us to explore!

We begin our outbound trip with a relaxing catch up at a cafe at 10am, which is located in walking distance from the Werribee Mansion grounds. After enjoying Grounds, we will head over to the Victoria Rose State Garden, and smell the roses. Following this, we will head to the amazing Werribee Open Safari Zoo, in which we will jump on the Safari Bus and see all the incredible animals while in the comfort of our our Safari Bus. Finally, we will grab a bite and head after head home.

Great Ocean Road Adventure
Trip duration: 9 hours (pick up locations will be agreed depending on locations of participants)

Itinerary:
This is a brand new day trip to Alacrity Health and we are incredibly excited to introduce this! We begin our outbound trip at the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie for a brunch. Following this we will flexibly tour the local stops and beaches along the scenic route of the wild beauty of Victoria's most scenic road, winding around the coast and into the forests of the Otways. We will reach the local towns of Torquay, Apollo Bay. (Depending on the route we likely miss the wonder of the Twelve Apostles due to time limitations - keep in touch with our Retreats where we explore the Great Ocean Road over multiple days!) We finish with a country lunch on our way back home.

We will, time permitting, visit the botanic gardens to appreciate and surround ourselves with the beautiful flora of Melbourne, finishing locally at a restaurant for a late lunch.

City Explorer // Art & Culture Tour

Melbourne is recognized globally as having some of the best Art galleries and on this trip, we will be visiting a mix or traditional and contemporary art spaces. We make our way to the bustling city centre; we will get some morning tea and coffee and then make our way to explore the Ian Potter Centre. The Ian Potter Centre is renowned for Australian art including paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, photography, prints, drawings, fashion and the world’s largest collection of Indigenous art. After lunch we will visit ACMI (Australian Centre for Moving Images), Australia's national museum of screen culture. ACMI explores the universe of film, TV, videogames and electronic art.
